Whyte's Causeway Baptist Church has been serving the people of Kirkcaldy since 1852 and has continuously sought to create an environment where Jesus is heard and seen through word and action.

Beginning with the work of one elder, three deacons and thirty members, we are now a regular congregation of fifty or more encompassing differing ages and histories: with some as young as 7 and as experienced as 95. Whilst we may seem a diverse bunch, we are drawn together by the deep love and community which are markers of the people that God has called into this place. We believe we are here to grow as a community and are setting out on a process of discovery as to how we serve and call more people in the "Lang Toun".

A Church who is seeking to reach out...

We believe that God has called us to be a loving family to the people and institutions of Kirkcaldy and we are currently in the process of laying the foundations for that goal to become a reality. Having recently completed renovations on the roof of our back halls, we are now seeking to modernise in order that we can see our building open 7 days a week.

Our work isn't just on the building however, we are also now seeking to expand our own ministries after having seen a number of new people come into the fellowship and leading onto 2018 we hope to make some decisions that will see our fellowship reach out practically with more arms of love to the people we have been called to serve. It is an exciting of discovery and exploration - we have no idea where Jesus will lead, but we are willing to go and invite you to come with us.

Below are a list of some of the activities currently running in the Church:

Tuesday Morning Prayer and fellowship

Does exactly what it says on the tin, a time of fellowship and prayer acting as a bedrock for what we do in the Church. You are more than welcome to join us, to be prayed for or even to pray for those who gather and the wider town and world. Led by one of our members, it is a quiet space and time in the Church for prayerful and scriptural reflection.

Children's Work

Then the people brought their little children to Jesus so that he could put his hands on them and pray for them. When his followers saw this, they told the people to stop bringing their children to Jesus. But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people who are like these children.” After Jesus put his hands on the children, he left there. Jesus Welcomes Children, Matt 19:13-15, ICB

We meet on a Sunday and join the first part of the service, after the offering we go through to the back hall.

After catching up over a snack and a prayer, we have our Bible talk which is interactive.  Then we play games, sing, listen to music together and have great fun.

We love to socialise when we can so we have picnics, visit parks, beach, cycle, walk, fundraise, support local and overseas missions and we go away for camps etc.  Quite a busy group.

We also run regular clubs over the school holidays and we are looking at way which we can grow this ministry. We have started a monthly Kids Club which is open to all and has seen us doing activities from playing games, making crafts and even taking trips to the theatre. (Details of dates and activities are available on request.)

Our group has around 15-18 children and we love when new kids join us. Why not come along and try us out!
